This is an amazing story of perseverance! On October 16th, 2010, freshman football player at Luther College in Iowa, Chris Norton was tackled and paralyzed with a broken neck. Four years later, countless hours of rehab and with the help of his girlfriend Emily Summers, Chris Norton realized his dream of walking across the stage to accept his diploma at the Luther College graduation. Norton has been an inspiration to everyone he meets. He gives speeches and set up the SCI CAN Foundation to assist those who suffer spinal cord injuries. He also surprised his girlfriend with an engagement ring. Chris and Emily are now engaged to be married. Watch the video to learn more about Chris’s amazing story.
