TIPS ON GIVING A PET AS A GIFT

Giving a pet as a gift can be a beautiful, very emotional moment. But before you give that gift, there are somethings you need to do.

1: Make sure the recipient actually wants a pet.

2: Make sure the recipient wants the responsibility of raising a pet.

3: If the recipient is a child, talk to their parents first.

4: Consider the recipient’s living situation. Choose a breed that fits that person’s lifestyle.

5: While puppies are popular, they can be a handful with potty training, chewing and need for attention. Consider rescuing an adult dog from a shelter that’s already potty trained, past the chewing stage and less rowdy than a pup.

Following these tips will be better for the recipient and the pet. AND, you’ll have a great moment like the ones in this video.
