Her name is Caraline. She’s only 3 years old. This beautiful little girl might not be alive today if it were not for Albuquerque Police Officers. Caraline was in the car this past Saturday when her mother turned around briefly to run an errand. While her back was turned a man stole the car with little Caraline in the back seat. At some point the suspect realized Caraline was in the car and dumped her in a dark, empty parking lot in freezing temps. Luckily Officer Chris Poccia, a former marine with search and rescue training, spotted Caraline’s purple coat with his spotlight. She was freezing cold, scared and shivering but otherwise okay. The video is 4 minutes of the raw police footage of Officer Poccia spotting Caraline, getting out of his squad car and putting the little girl in the heat of his vehicle. Listen to the way Officer Poccia and the other officers, especially the female officers, talk to and comfort little Caraline. It will warm your heart. Below is a link to a news story about the incident including a picture of a possible suspect.
