KELLY CLARKSON’S “PIECE BY PIECE”

The final season of American Idol is underway. The show has done a great job of incorporating former AI winners in the performances. But last night was a very special moment on Idol. Kelly Clarkson returned to the show as a guest judge and to perform a new song titled “Piece By Piece”. The song, according to Kelly, was written when she was pregnant with her first child. It tells the story of a young mother who was abandoned by the father of the baby who wanted nothing to do with them. But her baby gave her purpose and meaning helping to fill the wholes left by a failed relationship. It was one of the most emotional moments ever on Idol and provided a strong message to young single moms every. It’s not your fault. It’s not a mistake.
