What else can 2020 throw at us to make this year even more miserable? How about Giant Murder Hornets? Sounds scary…and it might be if that’s was their actual name. Murder hornets were given that name by the media to instill fear. The insect’s actual name is Giant Asian Hornet and only one has been found in North America…and it was already dead. According to the entomologist in this video, the Giant Asian Hornet isn’t invading North America. And while the 2 inch hornet does have the second most painful insect sting next to the Executioner Wasp, it’s mainly a threat to other insects not humans.
