USA’s Abbey D’agostino and New Zealand’s Nikki Hamblin were competing in the Women’s 5000 meter race in Rio when they both tripped and fell. But instead of getting up and continuing to run, American D’agostino waited to help her fellow runner get back on her feet. As the two started to run again it was obvious that the American had injured her leg in the fall. So the New Zealand runner helped the American start running. Both runners giving up their chance at winning a medal to give help to the other. THAT’S what sports should really be about. Check out the fall and finish here.
