AMAZING DRONE FILM

As drones become more prevalent in our lives, people are using them in new and creative ways. This new technology has allowed aspiring film makers to get camera shots and panoramic views that only the big Hollywood production studios could afford to shoot in the past. There is even the New York City Drone Film Festival which recognizes the best of these new drone films. Some of the vistas from these films are nothing short of stunning. This film spoke to me because of the content. It’s of the Russian ghost town Pripyat/Chernobyl. The scene of one of the worst nuclear reactor meltdowns in history which happened in April of 1986. The area was evacuated immediately because of the radiation leaking from the reactor core and has been left to be reclaimed by nature since then. It is haunting to watch and a reminder of the toll humanity takes on Mother Earth.

This year’s song of the summer is a ballad, not a banger. Here’s what that says about us

For the past 14 weeks and counting, the top Billboard spot has been held by a love ballad: Alex Warren's "Ordinary." As Berklee College of Music professor and forensic musicologist Joe Bennett notes, the February release is "a fair bit slower than the mean average for the Hot 100, or for a historical song of the summer."
