Woman leads police on high-speed chase

Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – June 3, 2024 – A woman is in custody after leading an Arkansas State Police trooper on a high-speed chase on Interstate 555.

According to Cindy Murphy, a public information officer with the state police, at about 9:30 a.m., a trooper initiated a traffic stop that led to a pursuit, where the driver reached speeds of over 100 mph on I-555 southbound.

The trooper executed a tactical vehicle intervention (PIT) near the 42-mile marker, causing the suspect’s vehicle to collide with a concrete wall. The suspect, 23, was treated for minor injuries and will be charged with felony fleeing, reckless driving, and failure to provide insurance.

According to Craighead County Detention Center’s inmate roster, Daisia Ann Pfeifer, 23, of Jonesboro was booked into the jail on felony fleeing charges.

She will have a probable cause hearing tomorrow at 1 p.m.
