Winners of Porchlight Film Festival Hosted in Downtown Jonesboro Announced

Jonesboro, AR – JonesboroRightNow.com – The winners of the Porchlight Film Festival were announced during a ceremony Sunday that concluded the three-day celebration of all things movies.

The festival, which was from April 10-12, showed everything from feature-length films, short films, documentaries and more. Filmmakers of all experience levels are encouraged to participate in the festival. In addition, attendees could attend various workshops that demonstrated various aspects of movie-making, from visual storytelling to costume design and more.

The event was formerly known as the Oasis Film and Digital Media Festival before rebranding to Porchlight in August 2025.

The winners are listed below:

  • Best Feature Length Film (over 50 mins)
    • Winner: “Daydreamers” by Luke Danforth
    • Runner Up: “Right in the Sight of God” by Terrence Ward
    • Second Runner Up: “Hallelujah Station” by Christian Walker
  • Best Short Film (under 50 mins)
    • Winner: “My Turn” by Isabelle Tumboimbela / Daisha Sherman
    • Runner Up: “Dreams of a Dead God” by Jim Wetter
    • Runner Up: “Taking Out the Trash” by Joshua Charperrin Woodard
  • Best of Arkansas
    • Winner: “Bruisers” by Ashley Hayes
    • Runner Up: “Taking Out the Trash”
    • Runner Up: “Two-Faced” by Michael Aristotle Kolokithas
  • Best of Northeast Arkansas
    • Winner: “I Knew an Alien” by Joshua Charperrin Woodard
    • Runner Up: “Taking Out the Trash”
    • Runner Up: “Business As Usual” by Emma Jean Howard
    • Runner Up: “The 5 Senses” by Matt E. Ball
  • Best “Emerging Voices” Film (collegiate category) 
    • Winner: “My Turn” by Isabelle Tumboimbela / Daisha Sherman
    • Runner Up: “Songbird Avenue” by Addison McArdle
    • Runner Up: “Two-Faced”
  • Judge’s Favorite 
    • Winner: “Interlude” by Jesaiah Burnett
    • Runner Up: “Bruisers”
    • Runner Up: “Hallelujah Station”

The winners will be screened at the Malco Studio at Greensborough Village, which is located at 1008 Canera Drive, on April 20. The public is invited to attend. In addition, voting for the People’s Choice is underway now, which will be screened the same day as the winners. Click here to vote.
