Where to celebrate Thanksgiving in Jonesboro

Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Thanksgiving is a time to be thankful, but not everyone has the ability or time to cook that big meal.

For those who need a place to get that hot meal without all the fuss, JRN has compiled a list of places and events in Jonesboro to celebrate and be thankful.

Nov. 27, Thanksgiving Day

Jonesboro Community Thanksgiving Meal

  • When: Nov. 27 from 9:30 a.m. to noon, or until the food is gone.
  • Where: St. Bernards Auditorium, located at 505 E. Washington Ave., Jonesboro.
  • Cost: Free admission.
  • Details: To pre-order for delivery, contact the First Methodist Church at 870-790-0624 by Nov. 26 during normal business hours, or order online. (Limit of up to six meals per family/address. Deliveries are within Jonesboro city limits only.) Thanksgiving Day orders must be called in from 8-10 a.m. at 870-336-2358.
    • Volunteers should arrive by 9 to 9:30 a.m.

Cracker Barrel

  • When: Nov. 27 from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., with traditional meal starting at 11 a.m.
  • Where: Cracker Barrel, 2621 Phillips Dr., Jonesboro.
  • Cost: $10-20 per person.
  • Details: Limited holiday menu featuring favorites such as turkey and dressing, chicken and dumplings, meatloaf, sides and desserts.

Golden Corral

  • When: Nov. 27 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Where: Golden Corral, 2405 E. Highland Dr., Jonesboro.
  • Cost: $16.99 per person.
  • Details: Special holiday buffet featuring favorites such as turkey and dressing, ham, roast, sides and desserts, as well as some normal buffet items.

Houlihan’s

  • When: Nov. 27 from 11-6 p.m.
  • Where: Houlihan’s, 225 Red Wolf Blvd., Jonesboro.
  • Cost: $20-30 per person.
  • Details: Normal menu.

Other Thanksgiving Day Events

2025 Gearhead Outfitters Turkey Trot

  • When: Nov. 27 at 9 a.m.
  • Where: Craighead Forest Park, 695 Access Road 6, Jonesboro
  • Cost: Participation is free
  • Details: A morning of community and gratitude, offering the option to walk or run on trails or pavement. Donations will be accepted to benefit the Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas.

DAV’s 2nd annual Turkey Trot 5K

  • When: Nov. 27, registration will begin at 6 a.m. and race will begin at 7 a.m.
  • Where: Lt. Col. Frederick C. Turner Jr. Military Science Building on the Arkansas State University campus, 1921 Aggie Road, Jonesboro
  • Cost: $28 registration fee, click here to register online.
  • Details: This event This event helps the Jonesboro Disabled American Veterans (DAV) raise essential funds to replace their two vans, when needed, so they can continue to provide no-cost transportation for veterans to and from VA clinics in Memphis and Little Rock.

Thanksgiving Day at Hijinx

  • When: Nov. 27 from 2-10 p.m.
  • Where: Hijinx, 3102 Shelby Dr., Jonesboro.
  • Cost: Prices vary by activity.
  • Details: Keep the celebration going with bowling, arcade games, laser tag, the ropes course, climbing wall, JT’s Grill and more.
