What’s happening in January at the Jonesboro library

Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – The Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library has a variety of events scheduled for all ages in January.

The library will be hosting its Homeschool Hangout on Jan. 15 from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Round Room. The staff of the Bradbury Art Museum (BAM) will lead a printmaking program that corresponds with the opening of BAM’s 2026 Delta National Small Prints Exhibition.

The event is for children pre-K through sixth grade. No registration is required.

On Jan. 21, the library will host Maker Meetup: Master Builders Program for teens in the TeenHub area. This event will be from 4 to 5 p.m., with teens aged 13-17 encouraged to “unlock their inner engineer with a variety of materials like LEGO bricks, LEVA planks, K’NEX, and Strawbees,” according to a library press release.

No registration is required for this event.

For adults, the library will be offering free weekly fitness and creative programs. It will be offering yoga classes on Mondays from 5 to 5:50 p.m. in the Round Room. This class offers low-impact yoga and meditation and is designed for all fitness levels.

Then, on Thursdays from 5 to 5:50 p.m., the library will offer Zumba classes in the Round Room.

In addition to offering fitness classes, the library hosts clubs designed to foster creativity. Its Knitting and Cross-Stitch Clubs meet Thursdays at noon in the Genealogy Area, and Sketchbook Club meets Wednesdays at noon in the Civic League Room.

“All programs are free and open to the public, offering an inclusive space for adults looking to build healthy routines, explore creativity, and connect with others during the winter months,” a library press release said.
