What is closed for Christmas in Craighead County?

Craighead County, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – With Christmas quickly approaching, JRN has compiled a list of closures across Craighead County.

This list will be updated as we learn of more closures.

U.S. Post Office:

Closed Christmas Day. Will reopen with normal hours Dec. 26.

State Offices:

All state offices, including the DMV, will be closed Dec. 24-26.

County Offices:

All Craighead County offices, as well as the Jonesboro and Lake City courthouses, will be closed Dec. 24-26. Normal operating hours will resume Dec. 29. However, the Craighead County Sheriff’s Office and Detention Center will be open.

City Offices:

City of Jonesboro:

  • City offices will be closed Dec. 24-25.
  • Sanitation routes will be on adjusted schedules the weeks of both Christmas and New Year’s. JET buses will resume normal operating hours on Dec. 26.

City of Bay:

  • Closed Dec. 24-25.

City of Bono:

  • Closed Dec. 24-25.

City of Brookland:

  • Closed Dec. 24-25.
  • According to the city’s website, Dedman’s Sanitation will be closed Dec. 25, with the Thursday trash route to run Friday, Dec. 26, and the Friday route to run Saturday, Dec. 27.

City of Caraway:

  • Closed Dec. 24-26.

City of Lake City:

  • Closed Dec. 24-26.

City of Monette:

  • Closed Dec. 24-26.
  • According to a Facebook post from the city, trash pickup routes will operate on Dec. 22 and 23. The pickup scheduled for Dec. 24 will be moved to Friday, Dec. 26.

Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library:

All branches will be closed Dec. 24-25. Regular hours will resume Dec. 26.

The return box at the main branch will be closed during that time, but materials can be returned at the library’s off-site book drop locations: First Community Bank at 630 Southwest Drive and the First Community Bank at 1617 S. Caraway Road.

St. Bernards Healthcare:

Emergency departments in all three St. Bernards hospitals, which are located in Jonesboro, Pocahontas, and Wynne, will not be affected by the holidays and are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

St. Bernards Urgent Care:

The Jonesboro clinic, located at 333 Red Wolf Blvd., will be open from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Dec. 24. St. Bernards’ urgent cares in Paragould, Manila and Kennett, MO, will be closed that day. All clinics will be closed on Dec. 25.

St. Bernards Health & Wellness:

  • Dec. 22: Open from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Dec. 23: Open from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Dec. 24: Open from 5 a.m. to 12 p.m. The Kids Club will be closed, and there will be no group classes.
  • Dec. 25-26: Closed
  • Dec: 27: Open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Kids Club will be closed, and there will be no group classes.
  • Dec. 28: Open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

NEA Baptist:

Emergency Departments:

Emergency departments will not be affected by the holiday and are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Urgent Care Clinics:

Urgent Care Plus, located at 3001 Apache Drive in Jonesboro, will continue to operate under normal hours on Dec. 24, which are 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. It will be closed on Dec. 25.

The Urgent Care in Paragould, located at 4700 West Kingshighway, will be open on Dec. 24 from 8 a.m. to noon and closed Dec. 25. All other NEA Baptist urgent cares will be closed Dec. 24-25.

NYITCOM at A-State Medical Clinic:

  • Closed Dec. 24-Jan. 1

Craighead Electric Cooperative:

Closed Dec. 24-25. On Dec. 26, the lobby of all three offices will be closed, however, the drive-thru and phone lines will be open.

  • Closed Dec. 21-29
