Thursday Accident Claims Life of Manila Man

Jonesboro, AR – Jonesboro Right Now – A Thursday morning crash at the intersection of Highland Drive and Easley has claimed the life of a 20-year-old Manila man, according to an Arkansas State Police fatal crash summary.

The victim was identified as Wesley Palmer, 20, of Manila, who was driving a 2021 Ford F-150 when the three-vehicle crash occurred around 7:24 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of Highland Drive (Highway 18) and Easley in Jonesboro. A passenger in a 2018 GMC Yukon, identified only as a minor, was also injured and transported to St. Bernards Medical Center.

According to the Arkansas State Police report, Palmer’s pickup crossed the center left-turn lane and collided with an eastbound 2025 Freightliner. The impact pushed the semi into the outside lane, where it struck the GMC Yukon.

The investigation was conducted by Jonesboro Police Department Cpl. Zach Kaja.
