Jonesboro, AR – (Contributed) – The Systems Group, a family-owned company specializing in services for steel mills and other heavy industries for more than 50 years, announced today the acquisition of an 8,400-square-foot facility in Jonesboro.

The facility previously housed Life Strategies Counseling of Arkansas, a mental health center that recently announced the closure of multiple locations.

The expansion reinforces The Systems Group’s commitment to Northeast Arkansas and positions the company to further support the region’s industrial growth.

Halsey Real Estate represented The Systems Group and the seller in the transaction. The property at 2200 E. Matthews Ave. was purchased for $1.04 million in December.

The new facility will serve as the headquarters for the Systems Group Clean Air Division. The Systems Group expects the division to occupy the building in February and plans to grow from an initial staff of six employees to more than 20.

“We’re incredibly excited to establish a stronger presence in Jonesboro,” said Lee Morgan, CEO of The Systems Group. “Northeast Arkansas is experiencing unprecedented industrial growth, particularly in the steel sector, and this facility positions us to better serve our customers throughout the region. We couldn’t be in a better spot right now.”

The Systems Group Clean Air Division, led by Josh Longmire, specializes in air filtration and dust collection systems for industrial applications. The division serves steel mills, metalworking facilities, and manufacturing facilities throughout the U.S.

The Jonesboro facility will house design engineers, sales personnel, service technicians, and parts inventory to support customers. The division’s flagship technology, the self-maintaining air cleaner (SMAC) system, provides an alternative to traditional dust collection methods.

“In steel mills and manufacturing facilities, dust and contamination are constant challenges,” Morgan said. “Our SMAC systems are self-cleaning dust collectors that eliminate the need to change filters daily. Instead of disposable filters that get clogged immediately in dirty environments, our systems pulse clean automatically and collect dust in barrels, keeping break rooms, control rooms, and offices truly clean.”

Halsey Real Estate Broker Landon Wilson led the transaction. Headquartered in Jonesboro with a second office in Benton, Halsey Real Estate is a full-service firm with expertise across residential and commercial brokerage, leasing, development, and property management.

“This is exactly the kind of investment that strengthens Northeast Arkansas,” said Jerry Halsey, President & CEO of Halsey Real Estate. “When a company with The Systems Group’s reputation and track record chooses to expand in Jonesboro, it’s a strong signal about the region’s economic momentum. We’re proud to have helped make it happen.”

The facility will also house operations for Fowl Play, a custom apparel company.
