The Glass Factory is now The Lounge

Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Aug 19, 2024 – Jonesboro welcomes a sophisticated new venue that promises to elevate the local dining and entertainment scene. The Lounge, set to open its doors in September, is a hybrid space that blends fine dining with a dynamic entertainment experience.

Inspired by the charm of the Prohibition era, The Lounge exudes a speakeasy, art deco vibe, offering a blend of sophistication and comfort. With its chic interior design and an extensive A/V system, The Lounge is set to offer live music, theater, comedy, poetry readings, dueling pianos, and more.

The Lounge will be open to the public on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, with potential expansions in the future. While it will primarily serve as a public space, it will also be available for private events throughout the week.

The Lounge Owner Heather Clark told JRN, “We wanted to offer Jonesboro another high-end option for fine dining, lounging, and gathering with friends, but staying loyal to the space’s original use, a venue.”

The decision to transition from The Glass Factory to The Lounge was driven by a desire to shift focus from weddings to a more versatile and enjoyable experience for the community. The Glass Factory’s wedding-focused model, while initially promising, proved to be a source of significant stress for the owners, Heather and Mat Clark. The pressure and high costs associated with weddings, combined with a personal disinterest in the wedding industry, led them to explore new avenues.

Heather added, “The Glass Factory was a fun entrepreneurial endeavor and experience for me and Mat, but we quickly determined that weddings are not for us. We mean no disrespect to weddings, of course, but we in fact eloped and I actually felt a little guilty taking people’s money because I think brides get gouged by the industry.” She went on to say, “I felt a-lot of anxiety about the weddings we hosted at the Glass Factory and decided that we might want to shift our focus. We absolutely love the building and definitely wanted to keep using it for the community, so we decided, why not a speakeasy lounge? How fun!”

The Lounge represents a fresh, exciting concept that aligns with their passion for creating memorable experiences.

In addition to The Lounge, Huntington Square boasts a range of amenities including a boutique hotel with 24 units, various townhomes and suites available for both short and long-term stays, and The Porch at Huntington Square. The Porch offers a seasonal menu, recreational activities such as pickleball and darts, and an outdoor food truck park. A sand volleyball court is also in the works.

The Lounge on Huntington promises to be a premier destination in Jonesboro, offering an exclusive yet welcoming environment for fine dining and entertainment. Keep an eye on their social media and www.theloungehs.net for updates on reservations and opening details.
