Red Wolf Rennaissance Fair

Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Aug 13, 2024 – It’s time to don your armor and enlist a squire, for Jonesboro will host its annual Red Wolf Renaissance Fair at Craighead Forest Park on October 12th and 13th.

Many citizens of the realm are crafting goods for sale and designing costumes to wear for what is sure to be a grand tribute to the Renaissance Era. Admittance is $10 for a wristband and includes both days and all attractions!

To celebrate the coming of the Modern Age vendors, artists, musicians and performers will be showing off their wares and talents for any loyal subjects curious enough to partake. Step into a world where fantasy and history collide. Not only will there be artisans and craftsmen filling the marketplace, theatrical performances to watch, and carriage rides, but there will also be…wait for it… armored knights in combat!!

That’s right! You can enjoy an oversized turkey leg while you watch the Memphis Armored Fight Club cross sword and shield in sparring and jousting competitions that will keep you on edge. But the best part is the renaissance behind the scenes.

The Red Wolf Renaissance Fair aims to raise awareness about the critically endanger species of the American Red Wolf which has dwindled to merely 20 wild wolves remaining. The American Red Wolf Conservation and Research Center has partnered with Jonesboro Parks and Recreation in support of this nonprofit’s mission to save the species by boosting ecotourism through these fundraising events. If you have the courage to embark on the crusade to help these creatures, attend the Ren Fair event or visit the ARWCRC website.
