Previously:

Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Sept 12, 2024 – Power is out for about 600 City Water and Light electric customers according to the CWL website outage map.

The affected area includes much of Jonesboro North of Johnson Avenue and East and West of North Church. A portion of the downtown area along Main, Union and Madison Streets is also affected.

The power dropped at about 10:10am.

“One phase on a line at 2nd and Allen Streets failed causing the outage,” said Slade Mitchell, City Water and Light. “We’re not sure what caused the trouble yet. It could be weather related. We think we can isolate the trouble fairly quickly and get power restored for most customers.”
