Paragould, AR – JonesboroRightNow.com – A Paragould woman is behind bars on a $100,000 cash/surety bond after police said she was found driving through a yard with a child in the car and was determined to be “likely overdosing” on medication.

Anne C. Coker, 47, was arrested and booked at Greene County Detention Center on May 29, according to the online jail roster.

The probable cause affidavit states that on the day of Coker’s arrest, Paragould police officers responded to Reynolds Park Road for a woman who appeared to be “lost and confused” driving through a yard. Upon arrival, they found Coker in the driver’s seat of the vehicle.

One officer noted that Coker had slurred speech and small amounts of drool coming from her mouth. They also noted she appeared to be “very emotional,” and a seven-year-old girl was found in the back seat.

Coker told police that she was attempting to go to Hoxie and had woken up dizzy. Witnesses at the scene said Coker had driven through their yard, and an officer documented the damage.

After a field sobriety test was administered, an officer allowed emergency medical services (EMS) personnel to evaluate Coker while a search of her vehicle was conducted. Several items were found inside:

  • A bottle of Dextroamp-Amphet ER 30 MG capsules (substituted for Adderall XR)
  • A bottle of Amphetamine salts 10MG tablets (substituted for Adderall)

According to the affidavit, both bottles had a lesser number of pills than were consistent with the daily recommended dosage amount.

While speaking with EMS personnel, an officer noted that Coker was seen itching, scratching, twitching, and pulling at her arms, hips, and stomach. EMS personnel determined that Coker was likely overdosing.

Coker was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated, criminal mischief, and endangering the welfare of a minor.

Coker was taken to the Paragould Police Department, where a Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) test was conducted, showing a result of .00. A search warrant was obtained for Coker’s blood, and she was taken to a hospital where blood samples were collected for further analysis.

In addition to the $100,000 bond, a judge ordered that Coker have no contact with the child involved in the incident and will have to wear a GPS ankle monitor.
