Paragould, AR – Jonesboro Right Now – A Paragould man is behind bars on several felonies after police said they found nearly 400 grams of meth, multiple firearms, and thousands of dollars in cash while they searched his home following a traffic stop.
Knoble Sims, 71, was arrested and booked into the Greene County Detention Center on Sept. 1, the inmate roster shows.
According to the probable cause affidavit, on that day, investigators with the Paragould Police Department’s VICE Unit conducted a traffic stop on Sims for driving left of the center lane. Due to smelling marijuana from the vehicle, a search was conducted, yielding a baggie of 6.7 grams of suspected meth.

A search warrant for his home was then obtained and executed. Investigators said they found the following items:
- 398.3 grams of meth
- Six hydrocodone pills
- 1.5 oxycodone pills
- 37 grams of marijuana
- Nine phentermine pills
- Five firearms
- Numerous items of drug paraphernalia
- $7,530 in cash
- A security camera
- Scales
- Packaging materials
The affidavit stated that Sims’ criminal history shows multiple felony convictions for drug related offenses.
On Sept. 2, District Judge Curtis Hill gave Sims a $150,000 cash/surety bond. Sims was also ordered to not possess any weapons, and he must wear a GPS ankle monitor upon release.
Sims faces the following charges:
- Trafficking meth (Class Y felony)
- Simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms (Class Y felony)
- Possession of meth with the purpose to deliver (Class B felony)
- Possession of a Schedule I/II substance (not meth) with the purpose to deliver (Class B felony)
- Possession of drug paraphernalia (Class B felony)
- Unlawful use of a communication device (Class C felony)
- Maintaining a drug premises (Class C felony)
- Possession of a Schedule VI substance with the purpose to deliver (Class D felony)
- Possession of a Schedule IV substance with the purpose to deliver (Class D felony)
- Possession of firearms by certain persons (Class D felony)
