The probable cause affidavit states that on the day prior, Paragould police officers were dispatched to a home in the 1600 block of South 2nd Avenue for a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, officers were told that Calhoun had attacked multiple people inside.

Officers met with multiple victims and witnesses at the scene. They were told that Calhoun attempted to hit a female victim with a hammer and was immediately confronted by another adult male. Calhoun and the male got into a physical fight, resulting in the male receiving a minor injury to the face and lip. Calhoun was soon found and placed into custody.
