Opening Date of Jonesboro Public Pools Announced

Jonesboro, AR – JonesboroRightNow.com – Pool season is quickly approaching in Jonesboro, as the city’s public pools are to open soon.

According to a Facebook post from Jonesboro Parks and Recreation, pools will open Saturday, May 23. The hours and locations are listed below:

  • Parker Park Pool: 1506 N. Church St.
  • Jonesboro Pool & Recreation Center: 1421 W. Nettleton Ave.

Both pools have open swim hours from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

To celebrate the pools opening, the Jonesboro Pool and Recreation Center will be hosting many activities that day, including a first splash ceremony, cannonball contest, shark attack game, and more. Additionally, food trucks and community vendors will be present.

Pricings for pool entry are listed below:

Mondays through Thursdays:

  • Seniors (55+): $3
  • Adults (16 to 54): $4
  • Kids (4 to 15): $3
  • Ages 3 and Under: Free
  • Family of Four: $12

Fridays through Sundays:

  • Seniors (55+): $3
  • Adults (16 to 54): $6
  • Kids (4 to 15): $4
  • Ages 3 and Under: Free
  • Family of Four: $15

In addition, season passes are available. A single adult pass is $75, a family pass is $150, and a senior pass is $50.

The post said children aged 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or older, and that one adult is required per three children. It added that patrons aged 16-17 can center alone but cannot supervise children.

In addition, private pool parties are available to be booked for the June 6 to Aug. 15 period. The last day to book a pool party will be Aug. 1. To learn more about booking, click here.
