Oasis Film & Digital Arts Festival held in Downtown Jonesboro

Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – April 28, 2024 – The 2024 Oasis Film & Digital Arts Festival was held in downtown Jonesboro this weekend. 

Student filmmakers and other digital creators displayed their creations for audiences at the Forum Theater. Workshops were also held throughout the weekend, with emphasis on makeup, props, lighting, cinematography and script writing.

Special guest speakers included Mary Hollis Imboden from Bono. Imboden got her start as a child actor in NE Arkansas and made her way to Hollywood. She encouraged the audience with the ups and downs of the auditioning process, and shared some great behind-the-scenes stories. Paragould’s Juli Jackson is the writer and director of 45RPM, a comedy road movie set in rural Arkansas that was the Friday Night Feature Film.
