Jonesboro, AR – JonesboroRightNow.com – Multiple agencies are responding to a fire east of Jonesboro in Craighead County.

According to Assistant Fire Chief Brett Bassham of the Jonesboro Fire Department (JFD), the Brookland Fire Department requested assistance from JFD on the fire. Bassham said the Lake City Fire Department had also been called.

The fire is located on Craighead 905 Road and is a grass fire that involves multiple tractor tires and a tank, Bassham said.

“They’re trying to get water in and out of there,” said Bassham. He advised people to stay away from the area. “It’s always a good idea to tell folks to avoid those areas.”
