Lake City, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Arkansas State Police and multiple emergency responders were on the scene of what social media posts described as a “really bad accident” Friday night near Lake City.
The accident happened east of the St. Francis River bridge on Highway 18 east of Lake City just before 7:00pm. Traffic in both directions was blocked.
KAIT reported that Lake City Mayor Cameron Tate had said four people were killed and at least ten others were injured in what he said was a head on accident involving three vehicles.
Arkansas State Police will release an accident report once families of deceased victims are notified and the preliminary investigation is complete.
