Paragould, AR – Jonesboro Right Now – A Paragould man is behind bars after police said he was orchestrating a meth distribution operation from his home.

Quentin Walker, 51, was arrested and booked into the Greene County Detention Center at 2:03 p.m. on July 17, the roster shows.

According to the probable cause affidavit, investigators with the Paragould Police VICE Unit received information that Walker, nicknamed “Tunes”, was distributing meth from his home on Royal Street. The affidavit noted that he is on probation.

Two controlled purchases were conducted earlier in July.  In each instance, a confidential informant (CI) was searched and found to be free of illegal contraband and currency. The CI was then provided official buy money and surveillance equipment and instructed to travel to the target residence to conduct the purchase.

The first operation resulted in the seizure of 28.9 grams of meth, while the second resulted in 29.1 grams. The information obtained through intelligence, corroborated investigative efforts, surveillance, audio/video evidence, and the controlled purchases established probable cause that Walker engaged in the distribution of meth from his home.

On July 17, investigators with the VICE Unit executed a search warrant at Walker’s home. He was detained leaving the home before law enforcement arrived. Several items were recovered during the search:

• 32.7 grams of meth
• Interior and exterior surveillance cameras
• A digital scale
• Documentation of gang affiliation (Gangster Disciples)
• Multiple sandwich-style baggies

Walker was taken to the Paragould Police Department for a Mirandaized interview. In it, he admitted to the possession and sale of meth.

Walker is being held on a $250,000 cash/surety bond with the condition that he not possess any weapons and must wear an ankle monitor upon release. He faces the following charges:

• Two counts of delivery of meth greater than 10 grams but less than 200 grams (Class Y felony)
• Two counts of distribution of controlled substances near certain facilities (Class C felony)
• Two counts of unlawful use of a communication device (Class C felony)
• One count of possession of meth with the purpose to deliver greater than 10 grams but less than 200 grams (Class A felony)
• One count of possession of drug paraphernalia (Class D felony)
