Main Street in Downtown Jonesboro to Close for Events

Jonesboro, AR – Jonesboro Right Now – A downtown Jonesboro road will be closed Wednesday for Meet Me on Main events.

According to a Facebook post from the Downtown Jonesboro Alliance (DJA), a Meet Me on Main event will be occurring in collaboration with Downtown Medicine and Spa on Wednesday, July 1, from 2-8 p.m. The event will include various live demonstrations, giveaways, local vendors, live music, and more.

Later that same day, the DJA will be hosting a World Cup watch party at 7 p.m. During this event, the game will be shown on a large LED screen with bleacher seating, local vendors, and outdoor seating at area restaurants. Attendees are invited to cheer on Team USA.

With the event comes road shutdowns. According to a Facebook post from the City of Jonesboro, Main Street from Huntington to Cate avenues will be closed that day from 1 p.m. to midnight.

Drivers are asked to plan ahead, use alternative routes, and allow for extra travel time if going through downtown.
