Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Rep. Jack Ladyman (R-Jonesboro) announced he intends to run for re-election for District 32 in the Arkansas House of Representatives.
“It has been the honor of a lifetime to serve the people of Craighead County in the Arkansas House,” Ladyman said in a news release. “I ran for office to be a voice for my community, and I have worked tirelessly to deliver on the issues that matter most: strengthening our economy, supporting our schools, and protecting our conservative values. We have accomplished a great deal together, but there is still important work to be done. I am asking for the trust and support of the voters once again to continue fighting for our shared future.”
According to the release, Ladyman has worked to reduce taxes, advocated for job-creating initiatives and worked to attract investment to Northeast Arkansas. He has also been a “vocal supporter of legislation aimed at improving educational outcomes for all Arkansas students,” the release said.
“Representative Ladyman is also a committed advocate for the agricultural community, working to ensure that Arkansas farmers and ranchers have the resources they need to thrive. His legislative priorities have consistently centered around promoting rural prosperity and safeguarding the state’s vital agricultural industry,” the release said.
Ladyman is a Jonesboro resident and is a mechanical engineer. He is vice-chair of the Arkansas Legislative Council. He holds seats on the following:
- House Public Health, Welfare and Labor Committee
- House Insurance and Commerce Committee
- Joint Energy Committee
- Legislative Joint Auditing Committee
- City, County and Local Sub-Committee of the Legislative Joint Auditing Committee
- Arkansas Legislative Council Executive Subcommittee
Democrat Josh Alfano announced in September he planned to run for the District 32 seat.
The official filing period for candidates in the 2026 election cycle opens on Nov. 3, 2025. The primary election is March 3, 2026.
District 32 is a portion of Craighead County, with parts of Jonesboro included in the district.
