Jonesboro Police Department Warning of Scam

Jonesboro, AR – JonesboroRightNow.com – The Jonesboro Police Department is warning residents of a new scam.

According to a Facebook post from the department, those who receive a text saying they have a Civil Enforcement Summons should not click on the link or provide any personal information. Those who receive the text are asked to delete it.

“We have received numerous calls regarding this message. PLEASE DO NOT SEND THEM MONEY, GIFT CARDS, OR MOBILE PAY,” the post said.

It added that those with legitimate court charges can call the Craighead County District Court. The District Court posted about the scam on its social media, saying that people should call its office before responding to any court-related issues, even if they are correct or seem correct.

The post added that its pay websites are pay.arcourts.gov and www.craigheadjail.com, and its phone number is 870-933-4508. Additionally, case information can be viewed online using the Public Court Connect website at caseinfo.arcourts.gov.
