Jonesboro man faces multiple charges in connection to multiple Christmas Day vehicle break-ins

Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – A Jonesboro man faces multiple charges after police connected him to multiple break-ins that occurred on Christmas Day.

Judge Chris Thyer found probable cause Dec. 31 to charge 19-year-old Roydarian Leshun Parker with the following:

Class D Felony: Breaking or entering (articles from vehicle)
Class D Felony: Theft of property (credit/debit cards)
Class A Misdemeanor: Theft of $1,000 or less (from a vehicle)
Class A Misdemeanor: Theft by receiving of $1,000 or less
Class B Misdemeanor: Fraudulent use of a credit/debit card or account number is stolen

According to the affidavit, on Dec. 25, Jonesboro police officers received multiple reports of vehicles being broken into throughout the night, with approximately 10 needing reports for stolen property.

While gathering information from victims, two suspects ran from a vehicle upon seeing the officers. They were able to find and detain one of the suspects, Parker, and searched him and the vehicle. It was discovered that the vehicle the suspects ran from was stolen during the same time frame as the other break-ins, according to video evidence.

The affidavit said that Parker was wearing a class ring that was confirmed to be from the owner of the vehicle. This evidence, along with his running from the vehicle, and the footage linked him to another case that occurred the same day, according to court documents.

Another affidavit stated that on the same day, a Jonesboro police officer was patrolling West Nettleton Avenue and Lobern Lane when he saw a vehicle with both its front doors open while moving and people running from the vehicle. A perimeter for a K9 track of the subjects was set up while the vehicle was secured. Parker was later found hiding under the back porch of a home and was arrested. He was then taken to the Craighead County Detention Center.

Parker appeared before District Judge David Boling on Dec. 29 for this case, finding probable cause to charge him with theft by receiving greater than $5,000 but less than $25,000 and fleeing. He was given a $25,000 cash/surety bond as a result. This is in addition to a $50,000 cash/surety bond imposed by Thyer on Wednesday.

Parker is scheduled to appear back in court for both cases on Feb. 27, 2026.
