Jonesboro, AR – JonesboroRightNow.com – A Jonesboro man is facing a felony burglary charge after police said he ransacked his ex-girlfriend’s apartment and stole her dog earlier this month.

On Feb. 23, District Judge David Boling found probable cause to charge 33-year-old Kaseem Muhammad Annoor with residential burglary, a Class B felony, and theft $1,000 or less – all others, a Class A misdemeanor.

The charges stem from a Feb. 6 incident at a Ferrell Street apartment. According to the probable cause affidavit, the victim reported that her ex-boyfriend, Annoor, broke into her home while she was away. She told Jonesboro police he did not live there or have a key, and she suspected he used a card to slip the bottom lock.

Responding officers found the apartment ransacked. A couch was overturned, a mattress was pulled off its frame, and belongings were scattered throughout the residence. The victim reported that her dog and its kennel were missing, among other items.

She also noted her vehicle had been moved to a different parking space, and the key fob was gone. She told police this was not the first time Annoor had done something like this.

Surveillance footage captured Annoor approaching the apartment twice earlier that morning before walking away with a container. The victim also provided officers with text messages from Annoor in which he allegedly admitted to doing “something he probably shouldn’t have.”

“I didn’t do any damage to you or your apartment,” Annoor allegedly texted. “Everything I touched can easily be put back.”

After Annoor missed two scheduled police interviews, a warrant was issued for his arrest. He was taken into custody on the evening of Feb. 20.

Annoor is currently being held in the Craighead County Detention Center on a $50,000 cash/surety bond. His next court appearance is scheduled for April 23.
