Craighead County, AR – JonesboroRightNow.com – The 28th annual Have-A-Heart Wish-A-Thon is finally here, and communities in Craighead County have the opportunity to grant wishes through donations during this once-a-year event.

Hosted by the Jonesboro Media Group, KAIT, and Make-A-Wish Mid-South, the Have-A-Heart Wish-A-Thon is a beloved tradition in the region, collecting funds to grant wishes to children with critical illnesses.

There are various roadblocks set up throughout Northeast Arkansas to collect money from motorists. Last year’s event raised $547,341.90 with roadblocks set up in 17 cities.

“I just can’t thank people enough for believing in it and Make-A-Wish in the way that we do,” said Christie Matthews, JMG sales manager and on-air talent, after the 2025 event.

A list of the roadblocks is below. Volunteers will be collecting up until 6 p.m. Donations can also be made by calling (870) 933-8800 or by texting “Wish” to 43414.
