Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – The Foundation of Arts (FOA) will be holding two separate sessions of Breakfast with Ballerinas this year, giving little dancers another chance to meet some of the FOA’s ballerinas and enjoy some breakfast.

FOA executive director Stephanie Epps said while they have been hosting Breakfast with Ballerinas, the FOA’s biggest annual fundraiser, for over 30 years, this will be the first year it will be offered at two different times.

“We were stuffed to the gills last year with the one time, so we’re hoping we can maybe accommodate a few more people this year by offering it out two different times,” she said.

Breakfast with Ballerinas will be Nov. 8 from 9-10:30 a.m. or 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Central Baptist Church, located at 3707 Harrisburg Road.

Tickets are $15 if purchased online or at the FOA Box Office, or $18 if purchased at the door the day of the event. Click here to purchase tickets.

“We are so excited. It’s a really exciting event for any little dancers who are interested in ‘The Nutcracker,’” Epps said. “We offer a breakfast buffet and a sneak peek of a couple of the dances from the ballet. Some of our principal dancers [the most prominent and experienced members of a ballet company] will be in costume, and there’s a story time with Clara… so it’s just a really sweet morning that’s really fun for any little kids who want to get in the Christmas spirit and see some ballerinas.”

According to Epps, there will also be silent auctions at each session.

“I’m really excited about this year because there’s some really awesome items that’ll be up for bid,” Epps said. “Obviously, it’s a fundraiser, so the idea being that people come ready to write those checks, but we will be grateful for any funding we can receive toward our programming here.”

Participants will also be able to make crafts and shop at the Ballerina Boutique, which Epps said has been revamped this year with some “really awesome” items.

“If you have any little girls in your life that you need stocking stuffers for, there’s going to be lots of opportunities for that, and there’s going to be great show gifts for any of the cast,” she said.

“The Nutcracker” will be showing Nov. 21-22 at 7 p.m., Nov. 23 at 2 p.m., and Nov. 24-25 at 7 p.m. at the Forum Theater, located at 115 E. Monroe Ave. in downtown Jonesboro. Tickets go on sale Oct. 20 and will be $20-$24, depending on seat type and location.
