Film, Novel Book Lovers Clubs Set to Meet at Jonesboro Library in Late May

Jonesboro, AR – JonesboroRightNow.com – Multiple club meetings are scheduled in May at the Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library.

On Tuesday, May 26, the library’s Novel Book Lovers Club will meet from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Shakespeare Room. May’s book is “The Goddess of Warsaw” by Lisa Barr, and June’s book will be “Colored Television” by Danzy Senna.

Books can be checked out in both digital and physical formats. Those interested in participating in the club can email reference@libraryinjonesboro.org or visit the club’s webpage.

Then, the following day, the library’s new Film Club will meet. During this club, participants watch that month’s featured film on their own time, then meet at the library to discuss it. The club is intended for adults.

April’s discussion is set for Wednesday, May 27 at 5 p.m. in the Civic League Room. The discussion will be centered on “Black Bag,” which is rated R. June’s film will be “The Blob,” which is not rated.
