“Arkansas leads the nation in farm bankruptcies and even climbing suicide rates among farmers while our rural communities are dying,” Democratic Party of Craighead County Chairman David McAvoy said in a press release announcing the event. “Last year, our elected officials couldn’t even be bothered to show up at an event in Brookland to listen to those folks as they were hurting.  These candidates are running to replace them and they’re going to actually show up and pay attention to the problems regular Arkansans are facing.”

The event, which is free, will be held at the Apex Ag Solutions facility, located at 778 County Road 680 in Bay, beginning at 6 p.m.
