Jonesboro, AR (JonesboroRightNow) Sept 10, 2024 – Grammy Award winner and Arkansas native, Ashley McBryde, will join Delta Symphony Orchestra (DSO) Music Director and Conductor Dr. Neale Bartee for a special performance with the orchestra.
The concert, sponsored by Arkansas State University, First Community Bank, and KASU, will be from 7:30 to 9 p.m. on October 27 in the Riceland Hall at the Fowler Center, 201 Olympic Dr., on the Arkansas State University campus in Jonesboro.
The concert will feature McBryde performing her own material which has been arranged by Tom O’Connor for symphony orchestra, including “Girl Goin Nowhere,” “Light on in the Kitchen,” “A Little Dive Bar in Dahlonega,” and many others.
McBryde started out playing country songs in biker bars before the Grand Ole Opry member’s 2018 major label debut “Girl Going Nowhere” (Warner Music Nashville) charmed The New York Times, NPR, Rolling Stone, and more, landing her a GRAMMY nomination for Best Country Album, according to the Ashley McBryde website.
She has won numerous nominations and awards, including ACM New Female Artist, CMT Breakout Artist, a New Artist of the Year win at the 53rd Annual CMA Awards in 2019; two nominations for the 2020 GRAMMYs for Best Country Song and Best Country Solo Performance for “Girl Goin’ Nowhere”; and a 2021 GRAMMY nomination for Best Country Album, making “Never Will” the only album nominated for Country Album of the Year by the ACMs, CMAs and the Recording Academy in the same award season.
McBryde was also honored with the 2022 CMA International Artist Achievement Award for the most significant creative growth, development and promotion of the country music industry outside of the United States.

According to the Delta Symphony Orchestra website, the DSO is committed to entertaining, educating, and enriching lives in the Delta Region by providing orchestral music of artistic excellence.
Since 1975, it has been the only professional symphony orchestra in Northeast Arkansas and is an integral part of the Delta Region culture, offering a full range of regional concerts, community education engagement events and youth programs.
The DSO is comprised of 60 musicians from many Delta Region communities as well as Tennessee, Mississippi, and Missouri.
