Brookland, AR – Jonesboro Right Now – Brookland Public Schools’ technology team is working through the weekend to address a phishing and spam email incident affecting the district.
Superintendent George Kennedy confirmed Friday evening that IT staff are actively resolving the issue, which has caused a high volume of spam emails across district accounts.
Kennedy noted that the incident appears limited to email disruption, with no known security breaches, data leaks, or impacts on general school business operations. Technical teams plan to continue remediation efforts through the weekend to ensure systems are clear before classes resume on Monday.
