Jonesboro, AR – (Contributed) – Aug. 19, 2025 – The Arvest Foundation recently announced a $2,500 grant to El Centro Hispano.

The grant will support events and activities for the organization to provide services for low-to-moderate-income individuals in Jonesboro and Northeast Arkansas.

For over 27 years, El Centro Hispano has been a voice for the Hispanic community, offering services from basic English language tutoring to entrepreneurship, including programs for college and career readiness, legal support, mentorship, and prenatal and postnatal health.

Arvest Bank associates joined Erin Henderson, regional branch sales manager, to present a check on behalf of Arvest Foundation to Gina Gomez, executive director, and El Centro representatives.

“We are honored to support El Centro Hispano’s work in Northeast Arkansas,” said Henderson, who recently helped plan a scholarship fundraiser for the organization. “We look forward to seeing how this Arvest Foundation grant can expand the impact of El Centro’s work and help make a difference in the lives of college students in our community.”

El Centro Hispano’s programs focus on six key areas, including education, health, legal, cultural, social and civic engagement.

“We are very thankful for Arvest Bank’s support of our scholarship fundraiser,” Gomez said. “This donation helps Hispanic students overcome challenges and reach their goals of going to college, opening doors to new opportunities and stronger communities.”
