Mississippi County, AR – JonesboroRightNow.com – Beginning on Monday, Feb. 9, at 8 a.m., a portion of Highway 77, south of Manila, will be closed. Manila is located approximately 35 miles east of Jonesboro.

The closure will end at 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 12. The closure is to allow crews to replace the bridge over Ditch Number 20, weather permitting. The ditch is located about two miles south of Highway 18. Highway 77 will remain open to local traffic only on either side of the closure.

According to the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT), a detour will be in place with signage marking the route. Northbound traffic will use Highway 158 east to Highway 181 to Highway 18 west and back to Highway 77. Southbound traffic will reverse the route, using Highways 18 to 181 to 158 before returning to Highway 77.

Digital message boards, construction barrels, barricades, and signage will be in place to notify drivers of the closures and detour routes. Additional information can be found at IDriveArkansas.com or ARDOT.gov.
