Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Members of the Arkansas State University Trombone Studio will perform a holiday concert in December at the Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library as part of its 2025 Library Concert Series.

The ensemble will be under the direction of Dr. Lucas Kaspar, instructor of trombone and director of jazz studies at A-State. Various holiday songs, including “Sleigh Ride,” “White Christmas,” “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch,” and more will be performed.

“It is a huge honor to be these students’ teacher. Working with them brings me joy each day,” said Dr. Kaspar in a library news release. “We are excited to share some joy with the Jonesboro community. Please come out to support A-State and the wonderful music students.”

Attendees will also have the chance to win a Kindle Scribe, courtesy of the event’s sponsors. Everyone attending the concert will be entered into the giveaway, and the winner will be announced at the end of the performance, the release said.

Farmers and Merchants Bank of Jonesboro, St. Bernards Healthcare and Medical Group, The First Horizon Bank Foundation and the Craighead County Friends of the Library are sponsoring the concert series.

This event is free and open to the public. No registration is required. Seating will be provided by the library on a first-come, first-served basis.

The concert will be on Dec. 12 at 6 p.m. in the library’s Round Room. The library is located at 315 W. Oak Ave.
