A-State men’s basketball non-conference game themes & promotions announced

Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Oct. 29, 2024 – The Arkansas State Athletics Department has announced themes and promotions for Arkansas State men’s basketball’s six home non-conference games in 2024-25, beginning with its “Black Out the Bank” game versus Akron on Nov. 4.

The season opener, set for 7 p.m. versus the Zips, will be presented by Coca-Cola, and will include 2,000 commemorative “Black Out the Bank” t-shirts. The game pits two of the preseason favorites from the Sun Belt and Mid-American conferences against each other inside First National Bank Arena.

The game will also feature a student-section giveaway as the Arkansas State University Student Activities Board (SAB), which will provide A-State replica jerseys to 100 students.

On Nov. 12, Southern Roofing and Renovations is slated to sponsor A-State’s rivalry bout with Little Rock, with 2,000 Howl towels being given away courtesy of First National Bank. Fans can also purchase two upper-level tickets for $12 to the contest with the Trojans. Poster stations will also be set up inside the arena.

Dustin White Realty is presenting A-State’s Nov. 16 battle with Stephen F. Austin, with the construction theme of “Built to Win.” In conjunction with the theme, hard hats will be given away.

A-State’s Nov. 22 contest against Lane College will feature a food drive for benefitting the Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas. Anyone either making a donation to the Food Bank of NEA or who presents a ticket to the Red Wolves’ football game versus ULM on Nov. 23 will be receive admission to that night’s basketball contest.

On Dec. 5, A-State hosts Jackson State, presented by Mid-South Ford. There are special offers available at the FNB Arena concession stands that night, with fans being able to enjoy $2 hot dogs and a $5 combo that includes a hot dog and 32-ounce soft drink in a souvenir cup. The theme for the contest will be “Pajama Night,” with students encouraged to dress in pajamas before Study Day on campus the following day.

During the Red Wolves’ final non-conference home test on Dec. 12 against UT Arlington, mini basketballs will be given away. The game will feature a Red Wolves Rodeo theme.
