1,067 Craighead votes cast in one-race runoff election

Jonesboro, AR – JonesboroRightNow.com – In a rare statewide one-race primary runoff election Senator Kim Hammer was leading Bryan Norris Tuesday night for the republican nomination for Secretary of State.

With 82% of the precincts reporting statewide (at 10:25pm) Hammer had 34,947 (51.56%) votes to Norris’ 32,831 (48.44%).

Complete but unofficial results from Craighead County reflected 1,067 votes were cast in Craighead County early voting and day-of voting. Election coordinator Jennifer Clack said Norris received 575 (53.89%) votes in Craighead County to Hammer’s 492 (46.11%).

As of 10:25pm Tuesday the results from Pulaski County voting had not been reported.
