Since 2018, 104.9 The Fox, Mix 106.3, and Ground Crew of Jonesboro have turned the holiday lights on at the homes of some very special honorees. A first responder. Foster Family. Tornado Victim. Veteran. Teacher. Business who gives back. An unsung hero.

This holiday season, we want the lights to shine on someone who has recently been impacted by a layoff. Nominate that special someone who has spent years showing up, working hard and providing for their family—but recently found themselves facing an unexpected job loss because of a plant closing, company downsizing or layoff.

Ground Crew will decorate the honoree’s home for the holidays, completely free. Jetton Power Solutions will provide a $500 Visa Gift Card for the honoree to use on whatever they want — or need — this Christmas.

Submit your nomination below and help us brighten the holidays for one special person. Deadline is midnight Friday November 13th.

RULES
This contest runs from November 6, 2026 at 12 a.m. (Midnight) to November 13, 2026 at 11:59 p.m.

Nominations for someone who has experienced a layoff will be accepted through a registration page on TheFox1049.com and on Mix1063.com. One entry per person. All nominees must be a local person in this area; any entry or submission which does not contain a qualified nominee will be disqualified.

The winner will be selected on or about November 17, 2026, and the nominator will be contacted by phone to set up a date of service before the surprise reveal. The winning nominee will receive a full-service building decoration with Christmas theme from Ground Crew LLC Christmas Décor Division. Jetton Power Solutions will give a $500 Visa gift card to the winner! Extent, nature, and value of the decoration portion of the prize depends on the size of the nominee’s building and lawn. However, estimated retail cost will stay around the sum of $2,000. This value is specified by the sponsor.

The winner will be selected by a committee of judges. The winner will be selected based on the most compelling story and completeness of the nominator’s contact information. Winner will be chosen is the sole discretion of the judges. The decision of the judges is final.

This contest is being run concurrently and simultaneous on 104.9 The Fox and Mix 106.3. Listeners of said stations will then be competing against each other for the same prize.

After the most deserving person is selected, Ground Crew LLC Christmas Décor Division will decorate that nominee’s building exterior in a Christmas theme as a prize. The setup of the prize will be a surprise to the winner, the date of decoration depends on the following variables: When the nominator is able to take the nominees out of their home for an extended period of time for Ground Crew LLC to decorate the home; when weather permits. The nominee will receive the $500 Visa gift card.

Once the winner is drawn, the nominator must respond to Jonesboro Media Group’s attempts to contact within 24 hours of the drawing. If the nominator does not return contact, Jonesboro Media Group will select a different recipient for the prize.
