Source: Craighead County Sheriff's Office

Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Sept. 15, 2024 – Jonesboro police were dispatched to the Parker Rd/Woodsprings Road intersection Thursday around 6 p.m. in response to a domestic disturbance.

When officers arrived, they made contact with a 28-year-old victim who suffered a cut on her arm. She reportedly told officers that when she was riding with her boyfriend, 26-year-old Wadley Britton, they began arguing. The victim reportedly exited the car, and Britton drove behind her and asked her to get back in.

According to the probable cause documents, when the victim reentered the car, Wadley began attacking her by hitting her in the face and throwing objects at her.

Wadley reportedly grabbed a piece of glass and cut the victim on the arm, telling her “I’ll kill you.” The victim managed to exit the vehicle again and Wadley drove away.

Wadley also called 911 where he reportedly told them that the victim “went berserk while driving.” He also told officers the victim has mental health issues and cut herself on the arm.

Officers deployed a K9 to search the vehicle, to which the K9 alerted. This prompted a search, where officers found a pill bottle containing meth behind the driver’s seat and the shard of glass used to cut the victim.

Wadley is charged with 3rd degree domestic battering, 1st degree terroristic threatening, and possession of meth or cocaine less than 2 grams. He was given a bond of $100,000 c/s and a court date of Oct. 28 at 8:30 a.m.
