FOA’s Breakfast with Ballerinas continues to steal the show in Jonesboro

Jonesboro, AR – (JonesboroRightNow.com) – Oct. 31, 2024 – For more than 25 years, the Foundation of Arts’ (FOA) Breakfast with Ballerinas continues to bring joy to the hearts of dancers across Northeast Arkansas.

This year’s event will be Saturday from 9-11 a.m. at the Central Baptist Church, 3707 Harrisburg Rd.

“Breakfast with Ballerinas provides a sweet experience for little girls of all ages. It is a whimsical, light-hearted way to promote the annual performance of ‘The Nutcracker Ballet’ and the Foundation of Arts. The kids always have so much fun,” said new FOA Executive Director Stephanie Epps.

“The Nutcracker Ballet” will play Dec. 12-17.

She also noted that Breakfast with Ballerinas offers guests other opportunities included in the ticket price, including breakfast and meeting “The Nutcracker” ballerinas. Plus, guests can participate in crafts and story time, get their hair done at the Ballerina Bun Station, and watch a sneak peek of three different dances from the show. They can also shop at the Ballerina Boutique or silent auction.

Epps said they normally have around 200 guests, but there was no limit to how many guests they can serve, having already sold over 145 tickets so far.

“Honestly it is hard to predict as we never know how many will get at the door,” she laughed. “It’s so sweet to see the little girls and my daughter is so excited. She has been counting down the days and reminds me every day.”

A mother of two, Epps said she is excited to get to spearhead the event. She only took the executive director position a few weeks ago, however, she said she had been the program’s director since May. Originally from Mansfield, Texas, she has bachelors in both music and marketing from Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, where she met her husband of 12 years.

“I am thrilled to get this opportunity. It has been fun and challenging, and I am so thankful to the board for considering me,” Epps said. “I am excited about what’s to come.”

Tickets for this event can be purchased now at $14 per ticket at the Forum Theater Box Office at 115 E. Monroe Ave., online or at the door for $16 per ticket.
